The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas provides accurate and current information, resources, and support for people with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

At the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, we believe:  

1. in the inherent dignity of people with Down syndrome of all ages

2. individuals with Down syndrome have the right to be included in all aspects of community life

3. families and other caregivers of people with Down syndrome require current and accurate information regarding issues affecting the lives of those with Down syndrome and benefit from parent-to-parent support

4. collaboration and consultation with other professionals, agencies and institutions are beneficial to people with Down syndrome and those associated with them

5. media depictions of people with Down syndrome should portray the valuable and positive impact they have in their relationships and communities  

The DSG, through its programs and services, reflects these values and principles in our community.
