Dads are invited to join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and hands-on learning at our BBQ Masterclass experience with Backyard Pitmasters! Whether you're a seasoned pitmaster or just getting started with backyard grilling, this interactive class offers something for everyone.
During this engaging experience, you'll witness firsthand the techniques used to create award-winning backyard barbecue. Through a combination of informative indoor instruction and interactive outdoor demonstrations around a custom-built smoker, participants will learn the fundamentals of Texas-style BBQ. From trimming and seasoning, to monitoring temperatures and even understanding smoke profiles, each step of the process will be carefully explained and demonstrated by expert pitmasters.
Along the way, you'll enjoy sample bites prepared by the pitmasters, including favorites such as brisket barbacoa street tacos and burnt ends. The evening concludes with a delicious BBQ buffet featuring classic Texas BBQ meats and sides. Each participant will also receive a 56-page full-color BBQ guidebook to take home and continue mastering their skills!
Please note: These tickets are exclusively reserved for dads/caregivers and are not suitable for children, self-advocates with Down syndrome, or additional friends and family members.
Registration closes Tuesday, August 11 or when the event reaches capacity. If you have questions or would like to discuss accommodations or modifications, please contact Ava at Ava@downsyndromedallas.org.
