Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Location: Arlington Museum of Art (AMA) – HELP Center Gallery (Community Gallery)

What to expect: Adults will be given a selection of craft projects to choose from. These individual pieces will later become part of a larger art installation at the museum. Water and light snacks will be provided (no meal).

In celebration of Disability Pride Month, the Arlington Museum of Art (AMA) is proud to present Resilience In Bloom, a community-based art installation created in collaboration with organizations across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas is honored to be part of this collective experience.

Resilience In Bloom will be a large-scale installation made up of individual pieces crafted by each participating organization. Adults and volunteers from the Down Syndrome Guild will gather in the HELP Center Gallery (also known as the Community Gallery) at AMA to create their contribution. Participants will choose from a variety of craft options, including paper flowers, egg carton or coffee filter flower garlands, and painted leaves.

The installation celebrates the beauty of growth and transformation. Just as flowers and plants adapt and bloom in different environments, Resilience In Bloom symbolizes the strength, adaptability, and resilience found within the disability community.

Registration closes on Tuesday, June 17 (or until event is full). Questions? Contact Hannah@downsyndromedallas.org.
